First Response Training is one of the first providers to offer training aligned with the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Framework for Learning Disabilities and Autism.
Training on learning disabilities and autism is now required for all health and social care staff. Tier 1 of this training is designed for those who require only general awareness of the support people with learning disabilities or autism may need. Tier 1 training takes place as follows:
Part 1: Learners must complete the free eLearning course via eLearning for Healthcare (elfh)
Part 2: Learners must attend a 60-minute live online webinar
First Response Training will provide open webinars for Tier 1 (Part 2) throughout 2024. These are open to the public and anyone can book a space.
The webinar is delivered by a group of trainers, including experts with lived experience of autism and/or learning disabilities.
