To enable healthcare support workers and adult social care workers to understand dementia and help improve the quality of life for people living with a dementia.
Learning objectives:
- Understand what dementia is
- Understand key features of the theoretical models of dementia
- Know the most common types of dementia and their causes
- Understand factors relating to an individual’s experience of dementia
Certification:
Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate valid for 3 years.
Duration:
The course is 3 hours long for a group of maximum 12 delegates
