The struggle to find new staff is real, but the Home Office has modernised the immigration system allowing Skilled Workers easier access into the UK workforce. It is the duty of employers to ensure that there is effective communication in the workplace, taking into account language skills and cultural differences. Not only are language skills good for communication, but also for productivity.

Working in Hospitality is famous for it’s late nights, early starts and long shifts, similar to that of Health Care and Social Care. This sector is heavily reliant on overseas staff and has experienced recent difficulties since 2020 Covid-19 and Brexit. Companies are being encouraged to employ more overseas staff if they are struggling to find solutions closer to home.

With an imminent surge of new visitors, we hope to compliment our existing Hospitality training packs with Language Skills support. British English language courses will be a good option for overseas employees looking to develop their fluency but also for those yet to start.
